The Gaia app is maintained by the Santa Catarina Environmental Institute (IMA/SC), an agency of the Santa Catarina State Government. This Privacy Policy aims to inform how users' personal data is collected, used, stored, and protected when using the app.

Receiving and processing environmental complaints filed in the State of Santa Catarina.

Accurately locating the location of the complaint.

Allowing contact with the complainant, if necessary (provided they identify themselves).

Improving the functionality and security of the application.

Data may be shared with:

Competent public agencies (such as the Environmental Police, Public Prosecutor's Office, or other environmental entities), when necessary to investigate the complaint.

Technology providers contracted by IMA to maintain the system, always with confidentiality and data protection clauses.

We do not share data for commercial or advertising purposes.

4. Storage and Security

Data is stored on protected and secure servers.

We use appropriate security practices to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or destruction.

Data is retained for the time necessary to investigate the complaint or as required by law.
